Preparing for the Promised Land: Kelsey’s Update on ROWAN
What happens when international mining threatens the very land widows and children have called home for generations?
In this moving conversation, I welcome back Kelsey Hargadon, founder of ROWAN (Rural Orphans & Widows AIDS Network), for a powerful update from Uganda. ROWAN has been serving widows and orphans for over two decades, and now, with mining operations threatening to displace thousands, the ministry is preparing women and children emotionally, spiritually, and physically for relocation.
Kelsey shares stories of resilience, from widows seeing the Nile River for the first time, to children preparing for new schools, to George, a once-sick boy thriving as a mechanic today. Most importantly, she reminds us that God is big enough for every challenge.
If you’ve ever doubted your ability to step into hard situations, this episode will encourage you to trust God’s provision and do the next right thing.
